yes, after like 17 years of the same old boring hairstyle, i went and drastically (or maybe not) altered my hair a couple of days before i left for bangkok. i wont go into the long boring details of why THIS particular hairstyle, but i will say that it was completely unintentional and the result of a screw-up on my behalf. oh and also my incompetence when it comes to communicating in the chinese language. but whatever.
so i’ve got myself BANGS now. when the stylist was done, i was so shocked i didnt know what to say. not that it looked bad or anything, but i just couldnt adapt to it fast enough. see kawan-kawan, when it comes to my hair i’ve never done anything more radical than red and pink highlights … so the reality of having bangs just came as a big shock. and i felt like jumping off a building when my mom came home, saw me from the door, and then said,
“hi! are you su ann’s or wai ken’s (my brother) friend?”
@#$%^!!! MOM, IT’s ME.

actually, there must be something about this particular haircut. i’m getting compliments every day, and i’ve been picked up a crazy amount of times this week both in KL and BKK. suddenly only everybody wants to buy me a drink at Coffee Bean or help me carry my shopping bags. strangers want to take photos with me, even the girls?!?!?! i think even my dad seems to have fallen for the new ‘do cos he just slipped me some shopping money, kekeke. $$$$

(the only two people who had something nasty to say about my fringe. ahem.)
to all girls considering getting bangs - and the guys too, if y’all can pull it off - i’ve totally gone out of my way to draw up a list of pros and cons of The Fringe. even though i really should be getting to work on finishing that evasive 2nd speech, dammit.
1. you look 5 years younger. that’s a good thing if you’re 30. not a good thing if you’re 17 like me. not that anyone can tell that i’m 17 now or anything, because i currently look like i’m frickin’ 12 years old.
2. if you’ve got a forehead like Tyra Banks, wah, this is the perfect hairdo for you, dont even hesitate
3. you totally save on foundation, concealer and makeup base cos no need to apply makeup on your forehead anymore!
4. your old friends wont recognise you, which can be a good thing if you wanna start a new life or something…
5. you will completely blend into the crowd ANYWHERE in KL (bangs have been the trend since sometime last year i believe), totally good if you want to avoid people or stalkers
6. people will buy you drinks :D
7. your dad will give you money even when you dont ask, just cos you look so uber cute in a dollfringe
8. when you sweat, it actually looks good ! (i know, so weird, right?)
Cons of The Fringe
1. 50% of your vision is obscured all the time.
2. now that you look younger, it’s going to be so much harder getting into places with an age limit. does not apply if you are actually of legal age. duh.
3. your photogenic-ity will drop like a bloody rock. for real. it’s so hard finding good angles for someone with a fringe. dont believe me ah? go point your camera in the face of someone who has a fringe and see how many pics you can get that actually make her look attractive.
4. you will totally blend into the crowd of sungei wang girls. this is SO NOT a good thing, man. especially when you are not one of them. sieutheng has already very gladly tagged me with the ‘lala’ label, never mind the fact that she was the first one in our circle to get a fringe.
5. umm yeah you’ll look like a 12 year old

all that said, i cant believe i just wrote a post about my hair. i feel so bimbotic!!!
okay let’s switch topics. Music of the moment : Switchfoot - Always Something. man, this is the best song ever. if you liked their other songs like Learning to Breathe or Let That Be Enough (!!), you’ll love this song. oh, i wanna marry Switchfoot.
Flop Poppy - Suzeila. local band, wei!!! Hitz.tv played their song and i immediately scrambled to the tv to see who was playing. they’re really, really good, also check out Cinta and Aku Dan Kamu by the same band. (hey Azwin Andy from Hitz.tv is a damn good VJ. cute, too!)

i actually prefer the without bangs pic compared to the one with bangs
but then again,i have this thing against fringe,so im biased.

hmmm…old pic look sexy. New pic look cute. hmm…or maybe it’s because in old pic, your laying down on a bed or something and in new pic..your not. But then again, I’d always did have a thing for long hair, so I guess that would make me biased, right?

my guess is that this new hair’s new anime-ish appeal is the reason behind all those new stalkers. :D

Seriously speaking, your new hair- do looks WOW.note the uppercase words. tee hee hee.Although I’m not in favour of bangs but it does make you look less matured and serious and in a way, it’s good! you look adorable and a bombshell material at the same time! I would LOVE to buy you a drink too. And secretly snap pictures of you. I tak muka tembok la go and ask if I cant take pichas with you.
About your archives? Easy peasy.. I saved your old webbie into my favourites list. When i open the webbie again, automatically that USED TO BE current post of yours became the archived post.
