Oh, the gluttony.

i’m really, really, really, really hungry right now.

1. favourite main entree:
hey, so hard to pick. right now i think i’ll go for sea bass. pan roasted to perfection, drizzled liberally with sauce, with a side of asparagus. YUM.

2. favourite salad:
Coffee Bean’s chinese chicken salad, hands down!!!!! if not, Caesar Salad at Alexis is a good number two.

3. favourite soup:
seafood soup, tomato base. i absolutely love the one at Ciao.

4. favourite appetizer:
oooooh. Vietnamese spring rolls. Tamarind Springs has the best. the mushrooms in olive oil at La Bodega is good too.

5. favourite dessert:
TGIF’s brownie + ice cream thing! Alexis’ Tiramisu and Mango Cream Pie. as for Chinese dessert, it’s definitely peanut tong yun and the Chinese pancake!

6. favourite fruit:
mango. mango mango mango mango mango. mandarin oranges!!! durian. apple. banana. peach. actually i like all fruits.

7. favourite vegetable:
french beans and long beans. kangkung (no idea what this is in English .. water convolvulus?) but only when it’s stir fried with belacan.

8. favourite sashimi:
not a fan of sashimi …

9. favourite sushi roll:
i’m boring, california roll is all that i ever order when it comes to sushi rolls. though i am dying to try that ikura thing. with quail egg. or something like that. anyone watched PRIME and remember that thing Uma Thurman was having?!

10. favourite soda beverage:
DIET COKE!!! thank you, the Coca Cola company, for guilt-free bliss in a silver can.

11. favourite non-alcoholic beverage:
diet coke, iced tea (no lemon thx!!), peach tea. CB’s Ultimate Mocha is pretty damn good too.

12. favourite alcoholic shot:
B-A-I-L-E-Y-S! i’m a kid at heart. or maybe irish. i dont know. whiskey is fine but i dont think i’ve ever drank it straight. i’d die!

13. favourite alcoholic drink:
strawberry daiquiris!!! with extra sugar on the rim. and i had this cocktail once that had vodka + butterscotch in it? it was sooo good but i never found out what it’s called. does anyone know?

14. favourite cake:
Alexis’ Tiramisu, nothing beats.

15. favourite pie:
apple strudel from PERTH! if not, Strudels will have to do.

16. favourite ice cream:
Ben & Jerry’s Phish Food. Haagen Dazs’ Strawberry Cheesecake. Baskin Robbin’s Cookies and Creme!

17. favourite milkshake:
anything with Oreos in it. TGIF does a good one!

18. favourite cut of beef:
filet mignon! tenderloin if i’m starving. bones are annoying.

19. favourite cuisine:
fickle me cant pick. right now i would have to say Italian, cos i just had the best pasta al funghi the other day, and i must admit i’m still fantasizing about it right now. Ciao and Westin’s Italian place is always good. there’s this nice quaint place in SS2 as well. and Oggi at The Regent.

20. favourite part of chicken:
breast! wings are #2. i dont think i ever eat drumsticks.

21. favourite fried food:
pisang goreng (banana fritters) from Tmn Maluri opposite 7-11 and in town behind the Sakura restaurant. cempedak goreng from Lucky Garden. lin gou also!!!

22. favourite cookie:
ANYTHING from Mrs Fields!!! when they shut down the stalls in KLCC and Bangsar, i was depressed for a whole week. but i came back from BKK and HK with boxfuls in tow, so i’m a happy camper once again.

23. favourite indian curry:
mutton coconut curry..! and the fish curry at Steven’s is nyummers.

24. favourite gum:
i used to be a fan of Extra gum, but when you leave a pack open for more than 6 hours, it goes mushy on you. damn annoying. so my new favourite is DENTYNE! the green ones. it’s so damn cheap too, like 1 buck. comes in a soft box, so i can slip it into my bag without worrying about it turning into mint flavoured moosh.

25. favourite candy:
i used to be addicted to Mentos and that Honey Lemon flavoured Hudson’s sweet

26. favourite crepe:
the savoury tuna ones! or chicken floss. i think Crepe Express has closed down …

27. favourite sandwich:
chicken ham, cheese, lettuce. toasted! any kinda bread is fine. i also really like sieutheng’s tuna and cheese sandwiches .. :D

28. favourite pizza:
pizza hut’s Hawaiian Supreme, extra cheese, add pepperoni, stuffed crust please. thank you, make sure in 30 minutes ah.

29. favourite mexican dish:
fajitas are just about the only mexican food i ever eat. i dont even like salsa dip. hmm. though i ate a burrito once in melbourne and i quite liked it! must. go. back.

30. favourite vietnamese dish:
Pho, baby. green mango salad is good too. and OF COURSE, spring rolls.

31. favourite corean dish:
bulgogi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sorry, nothing beats this one. japchae is a close 2nd. shit, this reminds me. i have not had corean food for ages and ages and ages. anyone wanna go with me? there’s this really good place in Hartamas..

32. favourite chinese dish:
walau. how to choose. i think i gotta go with Claypot Tofu + Minced Meat. am also a very loyal wu gok (fried taro + meat dumplings) fan. char siew pau (pork buns) also..!!

33. favourite filipino dish:
adobo! and omfg, TURON. it’s gotta be halo-halo for the drinks.

34. favourite southern food:
i had this Cajun .. chilli thing once, that wasnt so bad! but that’s like the extent of my southern food experience.

35. favourite instant noodles brand:
Maggi. seriously. there’s this Super Cup or donno what lame name my bros love, but i hate it. then when i was in Corea, i had this to die for mushroom flavoured instant noodle in a cup, but i have no idea what it’s called..

36. favourite juice:
watahhmelonnn. and the green apple + shuin mui thing that’s always in wai min’s house. thai coconuts! (i just realized that i cheat and write like 3 things when the survey only calls for one)

37. favourite snack food:
Crispy popiah, sold at a stall outside Pizza Hut and Leonidas at Mid Valley’s LG floor! KLCC’s Asian Flavour’s food court has one stall too. it’s like, the best popiah in the world, man. even better than the authentic roadside stall stuff.

38. favourite fish:
Chinese style : carp for steamed, sek pan (no idea what this is called .. Garoupa i think?) for fried. Western : Sea bass!

39. favourite cereal:
ooooooooooooh. Cap’n Crunch’s Peanut Butter Crunch!!! waimin’s hamsterfood cereal is quite nice too.

40. favourite pho:
Beef pho! dont go to Little Vietnam, theirs sucks and tastes more like badly done Ipoh Kway Teow. Saigon Village and Sao Nam has GOOD pho.

41. favourite breakfast food:
scrambled eggs, baby. pancakes too! (NOT the ones at Clear, Mont Kiara…….!!!!)

42. favourite french food:
escargot?? the little appetizers and pastries are good as well

43. favourite mcdonalds food:
recently tried the pork burger in bangkok and it’s really good! though i suspect i only say so because i’ve never had it. so i guess .. the Quarter Pounder? and their Apple Pie! maybe the Filet O’ Fish too. and omfg, the Sausage Mcmuffin. and their unhealthy yet so-freakin-good fries..!!! okay i think i gotta call 1300131300 now.

44. favourite pasta dish:
oh, the torture. how can you make me choose. i like penne with mushroom cream sauce (al funghi). fettucine alfredo. spaghetti marinara, but most places botch this up. Fasta Pasta at Ikano has the most amazing Ravioli dish .. the sauce is one half rich bolognese, and the other half is a creamy cheese sauce. WOW. okay i gotta go back there soon ……

45. favourite bread:
white bread. for some reason, wholemeal bread is only nice when it comes from Jonathan’s lunch

46. favourite tea:
English Breakfast. i dont get the whole Earl Grey hype.

47. favourite 7-11 slurpee flavor:
i forget. it’s the blue one!!! but then again i dont drink slurpees a lot.

48. favourite hershey’s kiss:
the one with COOKIE BITS!!!

49. favourite flavor of m&m’s:
ooh ooh omg i’d say the normal milk chocolate ones, but then a friend brought back peanut butter M&M’s for me the last time he was at singapore, and those ROCKED like nothing else did.

50. favourite candy bar:
hahahahhaa you all know what i’m gonna say. PEANUT BUTTER KIT KATS!!
