Cameronian Arts Awards
May 6th, 2006
the Cameronian Arts Awards was a snazzy event at the Mandarin Oriental - many big names and big faces in the local performing arts scene, designer dresses and suits, heavy pewter trophies, super powerful airconditioning, jokes falling flat, a clean sweep of awards by Inside Out the Musical, and a free flow of wine.
me? i was just happy i got to see Rashid Salleh and indulge in those super yummy mushroom hor d’oeuvres. heehee. everyone knows what a Rashid Salleh and mushroom girl i am.
i went with TV, who had media duties tapi tak buat pun @#$%. we were both late because of the crazy ass jam and a short detour to go eggtart (me) and cigarette (him) hunting. but we arrived just in time to giggle over the fact that they were serving about 50 types of tea - okay mild exaggeration - in the reception area. thanks Boh Tea, i guess after tonight i will choose you over Lipton during my next visit to the Tea & Coffee supermarket isle.
okay i’m really high on peanuts right now, have an early day tomorrow (fuck it, i mean 3 hours from now), so i’m going to leave you with less words and more pictures. not that i took many :(
on another note, do you know what is the worst thing in the world? it’s having a zit on your ass. want to sit down also damn pain. wtf. 2nd worst thing in the world is when McDonalds tells you they’ll take ten minutes to fry your damn fries and you dont freakin’ have that 10 minutes.
