When In A Supermarket Part 2

May 26th, 2006

i’m going to be heading down to Singapore in a bit for the weekend. it’s 4 in the morning, i have to leave for college by 7am, cram in an algebra class, and then scurry off to the airport right after. i have not slept, i have not packed. worst of all, i havent even looked up the good places to eat in Singapore!!! oh, woe is me :( :( :(

and i leave you with Part 2 of the Supermarket Series! Bangsar Village’s supermarket once again, because, yknow, they are so nice.

a supermarket with a sense of humour! what’s not to like?!

1. fairytale books have misled me to believe that all pumpkins are orange in colour
2. it’s not even midnight yet. i want my money back.

my fav milk brand. and my mother’s. and her mother’s!

i grew up on Vitagen :D did you?

dont forget to eat your veggies!

this is the kind manager dude who so graciously allowed us to take photos in the mart! this picture was so awkward cos he was so serious. and cos i’m so much taller than him. hehehe. okay wait cannot laugh, cannot laugh .. he’s been nice to me ..

i recycle my poses :(

2nd fav cereal after Capn Crunch’s Peanut Butter Crunch!

“you sure this is enough ah?”

there’s more over at my multiply page - so you can mosey over there if you wanna go on laughing at what an ass i make out of myself in public places.

now. where are the good places to eat in Singapore?!

max brenner. max brenner. max brenner. godiva. godiva. godiva.
remember what selina tan said. singapore and good food are 2 terms which don’t go together. just get food like mos burger and pepper lunch at tangs basement.

exposure a bit messed up at some shots… but composition good no?

  • 2. pinkpau  |  May 26th, 2006 at 5:22 am

artificially : max brenner FOR SURE. godiva not necessary this time. haha yeah i want to try mos burger .. last time never got the chance to. as for the pix, yes composition is perfecto .. hahaha :D

LoL! Was the manager giving the stare throughout your whole supermarket cam-whore episode :P? Or was he there to … supervise you?

  • 6. Ee Von  |  May 26th, 2006 at 9:35 am

actually, pumpkins ARE orange. you need to clean them by rubbing away the dirt with running water. :) Fairytales are somewhat true.

This is the only time it would be appropriate to comment on your melons and milk jugs.

Anyway you look really tall compared to the manager.. or maybe he is just rather short…How tall are ya anyway.. Oh well keep up the good work.. You have a great blog over here

    Hello :)

If you come down to Singapore, go down to Chinatown. You will find loads of yummy food to eat :) Also go down to Tiong Bahru Market near Tiong Bahru MRT Station (actually it is a 10-15 mins walk down from the MRT, ask the Passenger Services people for directions yar) is also a very good haunt for food. The Lor Mee stall there is absolutely fabulous. If you love laksa, then go down to Holland Village (near Buona Vista MRT) for some delicious Katong Laksa :)

When you come down to Singapore, you HAVE to try Hainanese Chicken Rice, Nasi Lemak, Char Kway Teow and Fried Carrot cake with black soy sauce. :) Also, the best food is usually found in the hawker centres. Cheap and good! :)

I sound like a foodie haha .. BECAUSE I AM! heheh… Enjoy your weekend in Singapore! ;)

    - Satay Bee Hoon at East Coast Lagoon food centre. look for the long queue. opens at 6pm. there’s also nice seafood nearby where a cluster of seafood eateries are.
    - Lemon Grass Restaurant @ Siglap area for Thai food. believe there might be one at Heeren?
