You Dont Mean It

July 7th, 2006

the other day, someone helped me with my homework. it was 4 in the morning. i was supposed to read a book for English class and come up with 2 metaphors for every chapter. because i had other homework and a math test to study for, and because it was (sorta!!) his fault anyway that i hadnt finished my homework, he agreed to help me do it. i actually found the whole situation pretty funny – both of us sitting at his dining table, him typing away on his laptop, while i sat there showing off to him all my 10/10’s for math and at the same time complaining about how i wanted to sleep and how i also wanted to eat wantan mee. in the end, we managed to finish up everything – though i was 40 minutes late for my 75-minute test, and i later found out that i only had to come up with 2 metaphors for 2 chapters instead of for 27 fucking chapters. i was pissed off, i was sleepy, i was fragile, i was confused, i was indignant, i was sad, i was regretful, but ultimately, i was really happy that day.

  • 4. AngPau  |  July 7th, 2006 at 12:20 pm

omg, “40 minutes late for my 75-minute test”??

    So, how was the test?

i see a recurrent metaphor here. men work their asses in the fields and women whine. regardless, at 4am he probably
    meant it.

woah.. 2 chapters and 27 chapters are like SOOOO much difference!

well, look at the bright side. at least in future, when you have to come up with metaphors for other chapters, it’s already done and ready to be hand in!

my comment got truncated but for some weird coincidence, Esther’s comment was the missing part.

Whoa – I’d be damn pissed if I’d done 27 chapters instead of 2! But hey, at least you never have to come up with metaphors for that class ever again :)

    meanoldman : only at 4am?

ront : bukan salah saya lah =( orang lain yang bagi wrong info!

esther : but thats th thing! we dont even need to finish up all 27 chapters :( :( :(

u real cute la : bullying a poor soul to help u with your homework. about getting the homework wrong – u reap what u sow ok! LoL. hahah. no shortcuts. but wait : u did the math while he slogged with your (misdirected) english homework? this bloke got the short end of the stick! ha ha.

  • 16. pinkpau  |  July 8th, 2006 at 9:44 pm

    math : isnt that the area of a circle? the formula i needed was [(x-h)^2 + (y-k)^2] = r :)

adrian c : but but but but!!! it was his fault that i didnt finish my homework!!!! :( why everyone blame me wan. just because he helped me with my homework everyone thinks he’s super nice >:( yea lor i did math and i had other english homework to do as well.

  • 17. Adrian C  |  July 9th, 2006 at 1:24 am

hahaha. i note a bit of guilty conscience creeping in pinks. just outta curiosity, pray tell HOW he caused u not to finish yur homework? did the “punishment” fit the crime!? LoL.

  • 18. pinkpau  |  July 9th, 2006 at 6:04 am

he just kept me till really late, the meanie :(

  • 19. TheRealAnonymous  |  July 9th, 2006 at 11:01 am

circle equation is (x+j)^2+(y+k)^2=R^2, with j and k being the x and y coordinates of the center of the circle and R being radius. =Þ

But to get 68/72 for a 75 minute math test that you were 40 minutes late for… you must really be a FAST thinker and an even FASTER writer !! =Þ

    Congrats! A job well done.

  • 20. pinkpau  |  July 9th, 2006 at 12:57 pm

oh yeah shit forgot to square the radius.. haha in the test i just left a big blank there cos i had no idea how to even start without the equation.

hehe yea cant believe how lucky i was to finish on time. i was thinking diediediediediedie throughout the test :P
