we went to watch the finals at the Hilton over drinks, croissants (french) and tiramisu (italian). i was so smug when France scored the first goal, giggling at the complete buffooning of the Italian goalie. i’m so totally winning this game, i turned around to say to him, you sure you still wanna bet with me?! but then when Italy scored a header i wasnt so happy anymore. i panicked slightly when Vieira was exchanged .. but it was when Zidane was sent off that i knew i was doomed. i was so moody i couldnt bring myself to finish my cookie.
and then Italy had to win. 5-3 in penalty shootouts. omg.
i’m not usually this into football. but let me tell you why this match holds particular significance to me. this is what i could have won if France had won the Fifa World Cup Finals :
3 dinner dates
1 hugeeeeee box of Leonidas chocolates
1 mega ice cream excursion
1 dress from any label i want
1 rendezvous with a special someone
and
RM1000 worth of shoes.
HELLO?!?!?! damn pain okay!!!! i’m like so depressed now. there goes that BCBG dress i reeeeally wanted. and omg all the SHOES that could have been mine……
righto. so i’m going to go drown my sorrows in Tmn Connaught dim sum right now. i predict a lot of asian food for me in the next few weeks, because i am going on a pasta and pizza strike. and a latte strike. and cappucino strike, and a tiramisu strike. basically anything that’s Italian, i’m not going to eat.

Pff. I couldn’t decide which team i was rooting for. You know, what with me hardly knowing more about football than that there’s a ball involved, somewhere. Anyway, I decided on italy. because of the pasta and pizza and lattes and tiramisu. =D

Same thing here. When Zidane got sent off the field, I knew France is so losing man. And when i dont know what’s his name missed a penalty shoot, I’m WTF?! omg omg omg…I know sure lose addy. no mood..got lecture summore today. wasted my precious sleep. Like France and Brazil 1998. Brazil lost..I lost my bet too.
But RM 1000 worth of shoes?! who you bet with la? I also want to bet if like that!~

i was upset when i knew france lost too. to get up in the mornin, clickin on the news and saw the fact that france lost n went to skool wid a sorta sad feeling too :( this year’s world cup no syiok :( not nice!
and who is that friend of urs??? rm1000 worth of shoes??? omg… i also want… but nv have a chance to go shopping anymore or to get anythg :(

i hope brazil actually didnt get kick out n they got kicked out. i hope england wouldn’t lose to portugal and …. -.-”’ and i damn wish germany would go to the finals and they didnt! but at least, they got the 3rd placing :) i hope next world cup would be a better one :D
