i have my philosophy finals tomorrow but i havent even started studying. i think i need to learn to prioritise. anyway i just got this in my email, with the subject title - “this is what happens when you don’t study”.




hehehehehe. anyway the guy who couldnt solve the right-angle triangle problem is a real idiot. HELLO? 5cm lah!

is it that pythagoras theorum thing where a(squared) = b(squared) + c(squared)? so umm…b = 3cm and c = 4cm…square root both of them…add them up..25cm. root that and get the hypotheneuse which is 5cm.

try listening to a philosophy podcast, it may help.
look for the guerrilla radio show, quite good listening.

Q1 is wrong because the ( ) and n are not expanded as well !
If I was the teacher, I would give Q3 full marks as the answer is really correct. Sometimes we just follow the education system too much. I guess that’s the reason we don’t see genuis often. :p

= (a+b)(a+b)(a+b)
= a^2 + 2ab + b^2 (a+b)
= a(a^2 + 2ab + b^2) + b(a^2 + 2ab + b^2)
= a^3 + 2a^2b + ab^2 + a^2b + 2ab^2 + b^3
= a^3 + 3a^2b + 3ab^2 + b^3

come to think of it.the expression (a+b)^n .. is there a way to expand it not knowing what is value of n?? because the expanded expression when n=3 and n=4 is completely different.
and the fella should get full mark for finding x. because the question did not say find the VALUE of x
