A Good Day

September 12th, 2006

1.00pm - wake up to afternoon sunlight streaming into the room. realize i got to sleep in, and am very appreciative cos yesterday was a long and hectic day. roll around the bed daydreaming and giggling about nothing in particular.

1.15pm- roll around the sheets some more. giggle some more, about something in particular.

1.30pm - after a lot of rolling around, finally notice a small box on my pillow. am momentarily confused - when did this get here? how come i only see it now??? open it to find some really pretty earrings, along with a little note. read the note, gigglegiggle heehee. see a little postscript at the back of the note. (i love postscripts.) read postscript, grin like a fool, am totally overwhelmed by the romanticness of it all.

1.35pm - read note once more. press note to nose and inhale. no scent, but nevermind, i’ve got a good imagination (and memory).

1.45pm - finally get out of bed. potter around for a bit.

1.50pm - had a break, had a kitkat. take delight in the simple pleasure of it.

2.00pm - check messages on my mobile. there are 3. love the feeling of opening unread texts on my mobile!

2.30pm - take a gooooood long shower with Body Shop’s papaya shower gel. sort out some thoughts, reach some decisions.

2.50pm - sit on shower floor and massage apricot scrub into face while the water from the shower hits my back. pretend i’m sitting under a waterfall. waterfall = john kam.

3.00pm - realize it’s very wrong to think of john kam while in the shower. hurriedly towel off and exit bathroom.

3.10pm - have a bowl of honey stars while reading Ian McEwan’s The Child In Time. wonder when the hell i’m going to actually finish this book - am still only on page 86.

4.00pm - watch America’s Next Top Model while still wrapped in bath towel. realize i really like the feeling of watching tv in nothing but a towel. read The Star during commercial breaks. check out movie listings and nothing looks good - feel a bit disappointed cos was supposed to catch a movie tonight. nevermind, can do other things.

4.40pm - brothers come home from school. i steal a bit of their lunch. there is such a thing as a free lunch after all!

4.45pm - announce to brother that Lisa is eliminated today. good. i dont like Lisa - she’s annoying, a showoff and a weirdo even if she does take VERY good pictures. brother ignores me.

4.50pm - start on homework. in between chatting on gmail. and msn. and eating more cereal. and checking out videos on youtube. and reading blogs. and posting in forums.

5.15pm - REALLY start on homework.

6.00pm - finally finish homework, email it out to team members. feel very accomplished - revel in this good feeling for a bit.

6.15pm - take a hot shower with my beloved papaya shower gel again. immerse myself in its smell.

6.30pm - realize i’m going to be late for my 7pm dinner date if i dont get out of shower NOW. hurriedly towel off and exit bathroom.

6.50pm - after trying off 50 billion different things and dancing around the room, am finally done getting dressed. attire of choice - jeans, a bikini top and a fuchsia top. notice that i am definitely going to be late, no way i can make it to town in 10 minutes!

6.52pm - start blogging.

7.07pm - finish blogging. okay going to be SO late. gotta go!!!

(i’m going to have duck rice in PJ New town. muahahaha. blast from the past, yo!)

edit : and here’s a pic :D though i think the pic doesnt do ANY justice to how yummy the duck rice really is..

Shit, Cosmo magazine needs to hire you as one of their writers. Or maybe you can write for Men’s Health as a next-door girl. (that’s after you become 18 first, ;-)

  • 9. Jay  |  September 13th, 2006 at 5:31 am

If I every meet you in person, remind me never to feel sorry for being late. But then again, you would be late too, which means we’d be on time, in some weird physics and science some weird long scieniftic word kinda way. Does that make sense? (nope.)

  • 10. Az1  |  September 13th, 2006 at 10:36 am
