Project Puasa Day 3

only 3 days without sweet stuff and already i’m as cranky as hell. i’m beginning to wonder if i should be kind to myself by allowing sweet treats after 7ish pm, instead of an all-out month-long elimination. i mean, that’s what puasa REALLY is right - breaking fast at dusk??

this is harder than i thought. i never realized just how much dessert my daily diet consisted of! urgh, i’m at starbucks now, and earlier at the counter, i ordered a java chip frapp without even thinking. it was only when the dude asked what size frapp i wanted, did i go, eh wait frappucinos are sort of like dessert! i cant have it!

so yeah. starbucks has the fucking grossest-tasting green tea in the whole wide world.

Su Ann, for what its worth, I do admire your will. Some foods are SO HARD to eliminate. You go girl!!! Anyone who can drink green tea in place of frapps, I take my hat off to la!

can eat la after 7. but then... isn't it like defeating the purpose of your dessert puasa if you still have dessert after 7 cos hor, it's not like you have dessert every single hour right? it's like trying to abstain from dessert until after 7. So what's the purpose of the fast!? why la you make things so complicated for yourself??? you understand what i said or not cos I think I don't :D add oil haaaa....

Oh you poor thing!
You're being really really strict on yourself too, classifying frappuccinos as dessert?
Hmm...I always tended to think of them more as liquid sustenance, with dessert being something you can scoop up in a spoon, and voluptuously ingest mouthful by mouthful, and then lick the remnants off your lips, before plunging your spoon in for more and then....
OK. I'm definitely making this worse and not better. Eek!
What I really meant to say was: I always find myself obsessing about something when I cannot or am not supposed to have it. Like how I can't stop thinking about prawn noodles and char kuay teow when I'm stuck in the middle of the (asian) culinary desert that is Brisbane. And those delish pics you post up when you're doing restaurant reviews only increase the craving quotient too *slurps* =) Or how that bar of chocolate seems to have my name stamped on it only when I'm dieting.
Do you think that might be the case with you as well?
But good luck with it, I do applaud your bravery and tenacity - three days without sweet stuff for me would be deadly, being as addicted to tea frappes and chocolate as I am =P

aww.. you poor soul.. look at you.. miserable and gritting your very teeth gnarling at the piece of chocolate cake in front of ya.

remember, willpower to resist such dark chocolatey treats is always an admirable trait.. yess... that it is (*takes a bite) oh wow.. this actually taste quite good.. want some? oh wait you can't you're abstaining for sweet desert..

about my 2 hour exercise is actually seperate into 2 section one.... one is 30 minutes in the morning and 1 and half hour is jogging at the park in evening.... it is really easy to achieve if there is a park near your place.
considering want to give you a mooncake for birthday present or not... cause you said so in absoluterage. this may be the worst choice you made for your life.... eliminated yourself from dessert when mooncake festival coming..... how ever hope you can sucess lah....^^v

good luck with the project. as with anything cold turkey, it's always hard to give up something you love... plan a treat at the end of your one-month milestone? ;)

and just to torture you a bit, i had the most yummy god-knows-what-you-call-it cake the other night that was all chocolate and moussey and had an oreo cookie crust and was really just the epitome of yumminess.
