whatever, okay?
i dont have time for your stupid attention-seeking hoohas. go put on your little performances elsewhere. here and now, you are not the star of any show. here and now, you are one of us. so shut up and get with the program. either that or just shut up.
these few days, everyone seems to be pulling the sad-puppy move in hopes of paving a quick escape route. heaving sighs, giving excuses.. we all know the type. it’s very frustrating. i want to tell them that i’ve seen and heard it all before. but the more this happens, the more i’m beginning to see how attractive it is. just string a few lame excuses together, tell a heartbreaking tale of how, you know, you havent slept in 24 hours, and you’re scot free. so nice. i also want.
i always tell myself not to be so sympathetic. i’m possibly the easiest person to take advantage of if you know how to wield a guilt trip well. so i try to change that. but i think opportunists can sniff out gullibility like bloodhounds. either that or im just easy. but the hardest thing about trying not to be sympathetic, is when you think about all the times you just needed someone to listen… but everyone was either not there or unsympathetic.
there is something about november and december that sucks big time.

well in US, end of the year means holiday season. It’s the time to be nice to the people you cant stand all year long.
oh and i don’t think there’s anything fundamentally wrong with being over sympathetic. That just means you are easier to be taken advantage of. But it could also mean you are this one giant big heart that rolls across the prairie picking up lost souls. Just dont take their problems with you. :)

alvin : nothing fundamentally wrong, but it’s not the best thing to be. it makes it harder to be happy. im feelin sad, puppy. i think nebraska is calling me. either that or kl is calling you.

i didn’t sleep for more than 24 hours, doesn’t mean my lecturers will let me off for my final presentation :p lol

true, you end up feeling a little down from sharing someone else’s probs. but being more sympathetic has never killed anyone. if a friend is genuinely feeling low, there’s nothing better than an encouraging smile or hug. you dont even have to say much just to let the other party know that there’s someone there for them. what comes around goes around.
god knows, my tear ducts have been in overdrive lately =/

Be stern sweetie! I know it’s hard with that smile of yours and those pink cheeks (which inspired your name and and not er….you know….some other part of the anatomy - yes I read that MM article =)
But try and be stern - I’ve been on the receiving end of such careless selfishness and it really really sucks =(
