I Am Bak From Seengapoh
March 17th, 2007
this time, i did not leave behind any mobile phone chargers (may last year) or used underwear (two weeks ago) in the Merlion City. what i DID leave behind however : a newly-purchased Jaga Jazzist tshirt and Amir Muhammad’s Lelaki Komunis Terakhir, the former being a lovely yellow colour reminiscent of lemons and the latter being a discovery so amazing i swear it felt archaeological. both items are in Dodgy Tim’s bag, and i will probably have to bribe him to get them back. because he’s dodgy like that!
pictures from the past 4 days :

going mad at Max Brenner. chocolate debauchery!!!

the original Milo Dinosaur (the drink ah, not me ah..) and the original Friendster act-cute angle

Joo Chiat Road, where the best popiah and the best durian puffs in the world can be found

bicycle stunts that almost killed me

HAHA!! dont play play ah!!!

hehe me and Phua Chu Kang’s colleague

emo-ing outside my hotel room

HAHAHA

damn cute ducks!!!

me and the damn cute ducks

me and Ming’s gigantic dog

me and Ming’s gigantic teddy bear

me and Ming doing ballet on grass

koi ponds are good places to meditate next to, especially if there is a tree behind you and a fish net to your left

the COOLEST ice cream flavours in the world – teh tarik and pulut hitam!
okay the end. gotta teman Martian watch some movie. if i dont, then he’ll sulk at me. and we dont want that, do we!

Ah, to be a girl and to whore oneself in front of the camera shamelessly! It’s a heck lot easier walking up to strangers and ask them to pose beside you as well.
But I fancy that that indian bloke with the yellow bloke was sort of leaning away from you. He was like “don’t touch me”.

Looks like you had a great time Pinkpau!
And yes, Max Brenner is to die for. Literally. As in I felt I’d die because they had them in Sydney but not in Brisbane =(
But never mind, I am sure I ate enough in the 5 days I was in Sydney to last me until my next visit =P
Where do you find all this good food? I’ve never had durian puffs, not even in Msia or Singapore. And what does teh tarik ice cream taste like?
I am definitely looking forward to some good ole Msian tucker when I next come home =)

I absolutely love the landscapping in your picture with the koi pond. I showed it to my bf who then agreed that when we get our house, we shall built one just like that next to the windows in the back yard. Ofcourse, it snows here, so we might have to make it like a green house. You have such good taste in food, theatre and books, love coming to your blog!
