Therefore, I’m also glad that DAP, PKR and PAS can form government in Penang, Kedah and Kelantan.
We gave them a March 8th that will never be forgotten!
A though lesson to learn by BN.

i know what you mean. i’ve been refreshing msiakini mirror site obsessively. there was a rumour going around that najib fell too, but i suppose that was premature. KJ better not get rembau!

bad to refresh malaysiakini obsessively. too many refreshes caused a server down and i panicked for 10 minutes and searched obsessively for links to mirrors. thank God i found them.
khairy and najib should burn in hell together. those voters were probably bribed, tortured, hypnotized to vote for them, etc etc

tables turned. but i think some of the ppl vote the opposition just to teach the government a lesson. take penang for example. the guy is detained under ISA and yet he still won. how is he going to fight for the ppl? so i think that the ppl are trying to say that, they’d rather vote for no voice than a voice by BN.

i’m so sad puddingman won. -_- that means he’s still our minister of education. like wth man because i’m not very happy how he deals with our education especially with the crap penguin (pengetua) she placed in my school. because lim kit siang wrote about it in his blog she had to give a little way and then she goes back to her little napoleon ways again. isshhhh! and puddingman is just bad. especially about the handphone business too. grrr. -angry-
and i hate ong ka ting and gang. MCA should rot in the fires of hell.

Uncounted ballot boxes in Lembah Pantai - 12.12am
IThere are another 14 ballot boxes that have not been counted in this parliamentary seat, throwing a spanner in the victory achieved by PKR’s Nurul Izzah against incumbent Shahrizat Abdul Jalil.
turns out bn has the type of super magical powers that ordinary people don’t.
35. soon | March 9th, 2008 at 12:23 am
i agree bn has super cheating powers. look at khairy. thank God they didn’t unleash their secret weapon whatever for semi value. that would suck really badly.

Selangor has fallen into the hands of the opposition. PKR has earlier announced that its secretary-general Khalid Ibrahim will be named chief minister. In Selangor, DAP has taken 35 seats (DAP - 15, PKR - 11 and PAS - 9) out of the 56 seats in the state.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
40. chm | March 9th, 2008 at 12:30 am

my mom used to work with shahrizat in some project or another claims that she’s a complete royal bitch to everyone else when not graced by the presence of the media. when the cameras come its all ‘oh i’m good, i’m great, i do things for the community’
44. t | March 9th, 2008 at 12:40 am
thanks for the updates and the mirror sights. the malaysian community in dubai/abu dhabi thanks you. it made up for the fact that we were not allowed to vote from here.
45. soon | March 9th, 2008 at 12:41 am
sharizat better not win. she doesn’t even look good. she look weird lah. and please, nst call her as a beauty. beauty my foot lah! D:
it’s appropriate for zam to lose. and i’m still devastated khairy lost. najib and pak lah should lose. blehhh. these people who voted for them, they can’t think for themselves, they don’t know the truth and i feel sorry for them.
46. pinkpau | March 9th, 2008 at 12:42 am

if this isn’t a clear enough message that ultimately the people choose the government, i dunno what is.

Unofficial: BN denied its two-thirds - 12.59am
Unofficially the opposition parties - DAP, PKR and PAS have managed to deny the BN its two-thirds majority in the Parliament. At the last count, DAP won 27, PKR 25 and PAS 24, bringing a total of 76 seats, one more than the magical number of 75 needed to deny the 2/3. Meanwhile the BN has won 108 seats. There are a total of 222 seats.

Those who voted have made the CHANGE possible.
We have overcome all obstacle - dirty tricks/cheats, phantom / postal voters, gambling votes & dirty money thrown at us by BN.
Lets hope this CHANGE will bring a brighter future for all Malaysians. A Malaysia for all Malaysian !
77. Dan-yel | March 9th, 2008 at 2:36 am
This is truly surprising beyond words. Yeah, mari sama-sama tumpang gembira. I just can’t sleep now until I heard enough. But now the burden lies on both sides. The opposition in the 4 states must prove their worth and cooperate professionally.
I like to see the opposition strengthened for a democratic Malaysia, and they have better make good use of this giant leap of faith, Malaysians fear no more, they fear May 13 1969 no more, They are confident, they are capable. It’s a whole different meaning for Malaysia Boleh altogether, on this day, in this dawn.
Youth, kids, peers, old men, apek, amuh, liang loi. liang cai, let us keep on taking part in civil society. Continue to critically observe both government and the opposition. Let us build this country, a country which we all can take pride in.
Work hard for a better future, let this define us in a whole new meaning. No more are we complacent, no more are we apathetic, no more are we selfish, no more are cowards. We are a whole different breed, Malaysians rise!
(I’m feeling like Queen Elizabeth between her people and the Spanish Armada)
78. soon | March 9th, 2008 at 2:53 am
gee. still unhappy that khairy won. now that the opposition is a strong force, i wanna see some change!! i wanna be proud of malaysia!!! BN should dissolve entirely -_- Knowing that pak lah, najib, khairy, puddingman and their konco2 is in the parliament makes me sick.

woah… i was quite shocked seeing the results.. i’m sure most were too, seeing so many ppl accused the government using dirty tricks and all that jazz (maybe in some cases they did, who knows)… anyway hopefully all this change is for the better… the people have spoken, that’s great… even as the people have unified to create that change, even more we should be united to keep that peace in our country… it must be quite unstable back home now as things are quite uncertain…
btw pinkpau, i initially thought your age on your profile was as it is because you didn’t update it… haha… but wah, i respect you even more now wei, babe… you and johnleemk are my political heroes ;) and thanks for all the updating for us overseas ppl…

I don’t know how the Cabinet will look like after this. Will the other races have the same amount of ministers in the Cabinet since MCA, MIC and Gerakan suffered such a huge loss.
Luckily, Pak Lah didn’t step down. I don’t want to see Najib to hold power. As for Khairy, how the heck did he win!!!! :(
104. Albert Ng | March 9th, 2008 at 5:01 pm
I’d been checking the roll in denial seeing that my record did not exist despite having registered in October 2007 which may or may not have been too late, and I even went to my old primary school to see if I was by any chance in the roll. I wasn’t, but I walked around to see how small my school was. Also found that most of the voters were older! Where were the chicks, do they not care about our future? Regardless, later I found out, they shared my vote. :D
105. NIck | March 9th, 2008 at 6:21 pm
Go OPPOSITION.
WOOHOO!!!!

pinkpau, nice blog
this is not the time to be happy, but more to start observing the changes we made. how the states under oppositions will progress! and then in 2013, we make sure we vote again for one that really makes good government! not voting according to your emotions!
we chinese vote DAP, of course la DAP wins!yay. we chinese are kinda bastards, dont really care about malaysia haha(its true), but only our money right. haih DIU LEI AH MA SEI DAI GAM GONG. haihhh.. as long as we chinese got our money, then its okay la! if BN wants to give me 10000000, then i for sure vote for them!

….Past 2 days, I have no access to blog, can’t wait today to express my feeling here….
Su Ann, we didn’t it! Malaysian did it!
Hooray!!!!
The result was amazing! What can I said? With the unity of whole Malaysian, this’s not a mission impossible and probably the best ever lesson for BN.
Just one thing not very happy, Cacat Pak Lah, Najid and fucking Khairy having much supportor and won..shouldn’t be!
Anyway, congratulation again to all Malaysian, we made it! Let’s work hand in hand with opposition to a better tommorrow!

lol… the opposition is already starting to fray barely a week after elections. Rows starting over Perak and Selangor lol.
Sigh.
Anyway Justice, you’re being hypocritical when you’re asking him/her to shut up because we were voting for deomcracy.. which is freedom of speech… :)
