Early Morning Peanut Butter Cup-Induced Commentary
June 19th, 2008
it’s 5.18 in the morning! guess who’s still not sleeping yet? yah. this slumber disability, paired with some accidental hyperactivity caused by a neat wipe-out of half a packet of peanut butter cups, brings to you a random list of updates in the awesome life of the pinkpau, with a little bit of random opinion and burning observations thrown in here and there :
1. Martian has come and gone. we spent the weekend at the Ritz Carlton, where i took gross advantage of the vast bathroom counter by lining up all the contents of my toiletries bag in ascending height on the surface and pored through the room service menu with wide-eyed fascination while Martian worked. on Monday morning i jumped up and down on the bed. Tuesday morning was spent tucking into a delicious plate of waffles with cinnamon sugar and lots of maple syrup while i battled with the waiter who kept trying to take my plates away - hello i am not done with that!. other than the constant struggle to defend my plates, i really like hotel breakfasts. i also really like my boyfriend. his name is Martian. in two months i am going to be apart from him for real. i’m trying not to think or talk about this but obviously i am failing. i think about it every moment that i am awake. no, i don’t really know what to do. i just want to be with my boyfriend. that is all.
2. i hate to break it to you guys, and i swear i wanted to slit my wrists when i heard the news, but it seems our friends on the other side of the causeway have bought over Death Cab for Cutie, and the band will now be performing there instead of here because they are smitten by the allure of the Singapore dollar. i address my following lament to the Singaporeans : is it not enough that you have the Great Singapore Sale and tutu cake? is it not enough that you already have Jason Mraz, Lostprophets, New Found Glory, Travis, Panic at the Disco, Alicia Keys and One Republic performing at Singfest this August? must you take away from us Malaysians this little bit of joy that we held so close - and so briefly - to our hearts? this means war. the next time someone tries to chope their seat with a packet of tissue at Maxwell during lunch hour, i’m going to snarl at them and hide their tissue packet. i am also withdrawing my participation in the Great Singapore Sale, and i am not going to eat anymore Orchard Road ice cream. and the next time i watch a play at the Esplanade, i’m going to cough really loudly. there. take that.
3. this is the newest addition to my life, my pride and joy, the reason why i’ve been smiling so much lately :
his name is Egg Mcmuffin! everybahdy, say hello to Egg!
4. i recently made a decision. i am happier now. i wish i could tell you what that decision is, but i cant, because as we all know, diplomacy is the name of the game. and i actually went on to say, screw diplomacy! and proceeded to disclose in startling detail and clarity the entire saga of my heart-wrenching and difficult decision… but that was a few minutes before i decided to backspace everything in a fit of guilt and sudden sense of, well, diplomacy. le sigh. but i suppose i could share with you the last sentence of the paragraph that was backspaced into oblivion, because it is vague and random enough to be published diplomatically. okay here goes. it is: ‘and i dont care how bloody chun the pina colada is‘. whoa.
5. this space is reserved for Masami until she gets back to me with what she wants me to write here!
6. i am going to start something new on my blog, and it’s going to be called the ‘Pinkpau’s n00b Guide to …’ and one kinda replaces the ellipsis with whatever facet of life that requires a 19 year old girl telling you how to do it, as if her opinion will actually help you achieve your goals. haih. but the only thing i have credibility to guide anyone through is the US College Application process, how to score straight A’s in SPM, how to throw awesome themed parties, a guide to climbing Mount Kinabalu and finding the perfect birthday present. oh and making really yummy brownies. and backspacing paragraphs into oblivion. this looks like it will be a really short n00b series :( any suggestions?
7. my ex boss thinks that i am not sexually attractive. i really hate him sometimes. ex boss, this is for you :
edit: okay okay, before everyone starts thinking that my ex boss is some kinda evil jerk who’s out to crush other people’s self esteem, i’d better clarify that his mean statement was made in an acceptable context :P we were talking about sex, see, and he said that he can talk to me about such things openly only because he’s not sexually attracted to me, coz we’ve been friends for so long. there. okay, clarification aside, the rest of the time he is actually still quite mean and evil.
8. tomorrow i am going to get my bank account!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i’m damn excited. i’m going to wear nicely, put perfume and everything.

Is it necesary to dress up when you go get a bank account? OMG. I remembered the first time when I made my own bank account, I was in this uniform ( I was working and NEEDED another bank account ) and I got my first ATM card.
And I felt so stupid because I DID not know how to use the ATM card and made a long queue in Maybank
Stupid or not?
That’s why you should have the n00b series. To teach little scoundrels like me how to use the ATM machine without having RM 100 notes getting jammed in the slot.

My vote’s on Pinkpau’s n00b guide to using Innit! S’bout time someone with clout say something about that cesspool of oversized egos. Some of the posters there are unbelievable.

I’ve been told by a psychiatrist that “roundish” things makes people happy, thus the Egg McMuffin’s allure. Things with sharp edges causes stress and he’s been telling me to keep those out of my bedroom. *shrugs*
P/S - Please do not put up photos of your feet. Unlike your boss, I DO find you sexually attractive AND I have a foot fetish to boot. It really turns me on, and that’s not something I want to be thinking about at 12 AM in the morning on a work day when I should be sleeping. ;)

Commenting on #1>> I cried so damn hard when I had to leave my guy to fly somewhere outside Msia for studies. DAMN! It’s depressing the first few months but it gets easier to cope with after a few months. Plus, the bonuses of long-distance relationships are that there are DEFINITELY LESS head-butting and you miss your man so much that you JUMP him the moment you see him in flesh. Hahaha~

kei : very easy. the best advice i have is … GO FOR YOUR LABS. haha. i used to NEVER go to labs, which was why i had such a hard time remembering all the experiments. once you’ve sat thru the experiment and understood it, recalling + writing it will be like second nature

well, i certainly can use the pinkpau n00b guide to succeeding in college application. columbia as a scholar, wow! all i had were wait list letters. lol.
