Hello suann. I currently live in London, and have been to most of the places you are thinking of visiting. My thoughts:

Notts has what is supposed to be the oldest pub in the world (and a castle), but i found it a little quiet - though if you are visiting friends you'll have fun regardless. Cambridge is gorgeous (especially the Backs, but it might be a lil dreary when you head down in winter). The Northern towns might be a little cold wet and rainy, I'd much prefer heading over to the continent instead, or even up to Edinburgh by train.

I just came back from 4 days in Krakow, so if you need travel tips etc drop me an email. Its a lovely little city, but i preferred Budapest which had more renaissance architecture.
Paris is always gorgeous in whatever weather, Barcelona an absolute riot. I'm not sure if you've been to Rome - that might also be a good place to check out for 2 or 3 days if you are thinking of options.

I have writeups of these cities on my travelblog, let me know if you're interested in the link.
