Learn To Love Cats

June 8th, 2009

it was straight out of the books — sunshine, crisp grass, sweet strawberries, cheap wine drunk straight from the bottle, a funny blanket that i couldnt help but laugh at. as i recall, it was an afternoon brimming with pouts and angry glares, but lukewarm air and gusts of leaves take care of such things. i fell asleep briefly and i loved it. lucidity can be so awful, and it’s nice to escape it even if momentarily.

Those are such lovely photos! :) Who could say no to strawberries and cheap wine? It almost feels as though I can see red and white chequered tablecloth.

Such vibrant and happy pictures, pinkpau! The weather was just as nice in Manchester last week and all of us spread blankets (mine was PinkPanther!) and scarfs over dry green grass and yes, I am guilty of drinking cheap wine from the bottle. Sigh, then it’s back to rain, rain, rain this week!

Makes me think of cats – you know, the way they fell asleep in a patch of sun lying on their backs with their eyes closed in little upside down smiles.

Sooooo relaxing to looks at, sigh. I like cats. and beautiful days which are hard to be sad in.

I wish I was there. Could almost taste the sun! But here I am cooped up at home doing my holiday homework and mugging frantically. School holidays in Singapore are WEIRD. More like self-study time… :((

  • 33. Jeff  |  June 9th, 2009 at 11:34 pm

Without even a photo of any cats ! lol.

  • 34. ah seng  |  June 10th, 2009 at 1:16 am

WHO’S MALE FEET IS THAT? YOUR NEW BF?

  • 35. pinkpau  |  June 10th, 2009 at 8:46 am

alynna : mm just like winnie the pooh picnics!

tamago : i’m glad you like them :)

    xiangyun : thank you :))

ky : actually i used to do pedicures all the time, but then i stopped when i went to new york cos they’re so expensive. now i’m just lazy.

michelle : haha i had a chat about this with the person i went with. he thinks it’s Wind in the Willows land, but it reminds me of Railway Children — sans the railway :) are you a fan of austen?

kevin chan : the only one i ever use — canon ixus 75i.

misshazel : of days gone by :)

    caramel : yes!

allison yeo : glad you like them!

huai bin : hard to find within oneself. or at least it is for me

aimee : i miss the grass

lydia : i hear it got cold in manchester this week. wtf! it’s summer months already!!

nyrac : hard to find nice weather in malaysia these days — man what is up with the haze. but not impossible :) may i recommend moscato d’asti for the wine!

melissa : haha that seems like the natural thing to do, isnt it? but i didnt :P i just fell asleep in one spot.

    sheon : i was la!! :P

artificially : are u coming back or not !

breadpitt : haha! thank you :P

k0k : have you ever disturbed a catnapping cat? i have. not pretty.

    elle : it was :)

roborovski : only when they make hamster faces

solitary rose : my religion doesnt forbid it, so i showcase my feet shamelessly :)

?: who is martin? do you mean martian?

bebe bonito : gorgeous skies, right? malaysian skies have been so drab from the haze.

rach : haha i know a girl who has size 3 feeeeeet. so small !!

ping : do it do it !

    mac : hehe.

    z : thank u!

guaichaikid : nice meeting you too!

childwoman : i was equally thrilled when i saw this place :)

    chareli : indeed

fatcat : man, holiday homework should be banned. why do schools not understand what HOLIDAY means!

jeff : hehe cant be too obvious about these things

    ah seng: wtf?

  • 40. MIchelle  |  June 11th, 2009 at 3:18 pm

I used to like Austen but the fact that I’ve been reading three of Austen’s novel and three of them has similar plots ( Sisters, marriage and damsel in distress finally getting married with the man she longed for ) except for the slight difference in Persuasion ( A much significant war theme and glorification of war )…

Well, I used to. When I was 16.

  • 41. pinkpau  |  June 11th, 2009 at 3:23 pm

    adrian c: :))) i love that movie.

michelle : hehe. very good. i feel the same way abt austen; i’m not a huge fan of her style or matter. have you read any of the bronte sisters? i feel like you would enjoy those a lot more. read jane eyre :)

  • 42. Jason  |  June 15th, 2009 at 9:13 pm

Glad to see happy and bright pictures again :D and the happy pink pau again :) nice pictures..Hope to experience them one day..
