Hey su ann we met at msls over mamak on sunday night!

He was the new "hot" boy in school. We had breakfast together on the first day of term coz he was roommates with my bestfriend's brother's girlfriend's younger brother (lol). Breakfast was awkward with him and I keeping quiet and our companions jabbering away. I thought he was good-looking but I was definitely NOT what I perceived to be his type - I wasn't Chinese, Christian, or tall with long shiny black hair.

We started having breakfast together everyday coz our closest friends were such good friends. At night (we stayed in a boarding college) he'd walk with me around school and ppl wld start teasing us (mainly him for "going after" a senior), but I always thought the interest was purely platonic - it just seemed too good to be true.

But we started spending more and more time together and one day we went on a daytrip to Midvalley for a movie and sushi with mutual friends. On the way back to college the KTM was PACKED, I touched his shoulder to remind him that I was behind him, and he took my hand, at first I thought to "protect" me from anybody who had any funny ideas. 9 KTM stations and an empty train later, we were still holding hands and were sitting on the floor talking. Not long after, we were together and a few weeks later we both fell in love - me for the first time.

We had an amazing relationship but we aren't together anymore - simply because a non-Muslim person cannot marry a Muslim in this country without converting. I love him still and I always will, but life goes on and I will still support+fight for interracial AND interreligious relationships for years to come.

su ann, it's so awesome the way you reply everyone's comments one by one.

I met my boyfriend when we were at camp in Cameron Highlands. We were fourteen. He wrote me a love poem. Somewhere along the way, I fell in love with his persistence and now we've been together for a year. We turn 21 this year.

My best friend first pointed him out to me.

She said he was cute. I vehemently disagreed (:

We only officially met at a camp where (bless their kind souls) we were made to compete in some water polo thing. He had nice shoulders and the most adorable smile. I think I fell for him right there when he tried to drown me in our one-sided struggle to get the ball (:

I still miss him sometimes.

I met my ex in an anatomy lab - nerdy much haha?

So yeah, there we both were, dressed in white lab coats with the aroma of formaldehyde lingering in the air, scalpels and anatomy textbooks at the ready - which little did we know, both were soon to be covered/ splattered/ drenched in various bodily secretions you wouldn't care to think about -_______-

Not very romantic, but we got together over those bi-weekly sessions of poking around inside some cadaver's insides (literally), mumbling things like 'How the f*** did the tutor spot the pituitary gland in here? All I can see is a mass of white s*** that looks like cauliflower soup', and him accidentally jabbing my finger with the pointy end of a scalpel whilst gesticulating with (what I thought was unecessary) gusto, necessitating an OHS report,a visit to the uni health centre for a vaccine jab, and a dressing-down from the lab supervisor T______T

So yeah. Started great, and ended disastrously, but hey - can't say I regret falling in love ffor real, for the first time ever.

ps: I know I have been absent from your blog (and basically every other blog for the past YEAR wtf) - god it is good to be back!
