Hennessy Artistry This Weekend

plans for the weekend:
- potentially going for a waterfall and staring-at-stars getaway. i’m not sure if this is still happening, but if it doesn’t, i will make my own getaway with Lenny and a bottle of Moscato. I am crossing my fingers for a hazeless Friday night.
- speaking at a panel for US education, organized by Tony Pua’s Descartes. the Facebook page for the event is here. this panel is going to be one of two different US college forums that i will be speaking at over the next month or so, but it will be less workshoppish than the other seminars, and more of an experience-sharing one, so do come if you’ve always wanted to know more about US education and Ivy League prep. It will be held at Sunway University College on Saturday the 25th of July.
- going to the Hennessy Artistry One Massive Party! remember last year when they brought Flo Rida over for Artistry? this year it’s going to be bigger and better, because they are importing a whole slew of international artistes to bring the house down!
Artistry this year will see the likes of the Ying Yang Twins and Fatman Scoop as two of the headlining acts. Neither really needs any introduction, but if you are unfamiliar with these hiphop / crunk superstars, time to get on Youtube, yo.

as for Fatman Scoop, haha, remember when Put Your Hands Up was all the rage at clubs and bars, and just about every DJ’s R&B mix? You got a 100 dollar bill put your hands up! You got a 50 dollar bill put your hands up!:
man, these videos are bringing back some serious memories of the great R&B / hip hop rap reign of 50 Cent, Ashanti and Ja Rule several years ago.
along with Malaysia’s homegrown and lovingly halal One Buck Short, the other international acts who will be dropping beats at Artistry are:
- DJ Camilo (New York – hip hop and R&B with a reggae twist)
- Homies (Taiwan – hip hop & rap)
- Dominique Tsai (Taiwan — pop; I hear she’s a hottie!)
- DJ Milinka (Indonesia – house)
- and Mr Sam (France – electro & progressive trance).
i cannot wait for Artistry! it’s looking to be a very promising night with the best friends, who hopefully will stay away from the alcohol long enough to hit the dance floor with me. I MISS THESE OUTDOOR THINGS – too many crappy raves have come and gone on our soil and left a bad taste in my mouth. bring on the night! pinkpau needs some fun.
to get to Hennessy Artistry, you can obtain 2 passes by purchasing a bottle of Hennessy VSOP at participating bars and clubs (refer to the website). purchasing 2 bottles gets you 5 passes.

may someone gift you with 2 bottles of shampoo and conditioner, as well as heavily scented body wash as well as copious amounts of perfume because God knows you’ll need that much to rid yourself of the lingering stench of ciggy smoke for hours after that. :P

Ooh… lucky you… Get to see Fatty Scoop.. I missed out on him the last time Missy Elliot came by Melb.. He was meant to be the DJ/MC and got detained and wasn’t allowed into the country!! Ahahaha…

but who cares? i committed the offense when i was a small kid. hahahahaha…so drink up, but drink responsibly.
i dunno much about the groups you mentioned, and the yin yang twins sounds like a bad that ah bengs and ah lians like to blast while driving their souped up jalopies in jinjang.
