I Love Malaysia Today

August 20th, 2009

m2day has the scoop on the mystery letter in Teoh Beng Hock’s case. names and modus operandi are revealed, and the letter is purportedly written by MACC staff.

http://mt.m2day.org/2008/content/view/25886/84/

if the contents of this letter are true, i’m feeling proud of Malaysians today for standing up for what’s right.

now, to investigate and take action — which of course, is always the biggest obstacle when it comes to the Malaysian stance on justice.

I don’t think that this is a genuine letter ..

I feel that it is highly unlikely that an official letter would be written in such a manner using words such words to discribe a higher up . I mean , even if you disliked him you wouldn’t be caught dead calling him “takut” etc in such a blatant manner right ?

Imma take this with a grain of salt

m2t is the “alternative” media version of tabloid. ;)

    QED, bitches.

  • 6. lishun  |  August 20th, 2009 at 5:42 pm

if those allegations are true, i hope the person/people who wrote that letter will be protected until they’re called to testify (if that ever happens).

if this is simply a method of naming someone to take the fall and get the whole affair over and done with…sigh.

i dunnola. i believe in justice. i just don’t trust the people appointed to uphold it. everything in this case reeks of a cover up, a conspiracy.

i like the fact that this blog post is so positive, with you expressing your pride at malaysians who are standing up for what’s right, but i am neither as optimistic nor as hopeful.

Oh we all know what happens next. Names are revealed and wrists are slapped. Then everything goes back to normal.

Antares, a tabloid? You are being plain ignorance aren’t you?

How long more to live with ‘tidak apa’ attitude huh?

  • 9. csv  |  August 21st, 2009 at 12:03 am

nope, the letter gets labeled as a hoax, newspapers will proclaim it is a hoax, then “someone somewhere” will do a stunt bigger than the letter to cover up everything else, and people will forget.

just like lingam, just like bukit antarabangsa, history repeats itself.

    oooh.. interesting…

    scandalous!! expound it!!

  • 11. sheon  |  August 21st, 2009 at 2:10 am

i was calling everybody to tell them what i read! i wish the letter is true, and the whistleblower(s) protected at all cost so that they can testify in court….

HOWEVER……this is malaysia….and it’s not like top politicians were never implicated in any scandals before…its just that it gets covered up eventually…..

  • 12. carol  |  August 21st, 2009 at 5:22 am

    guys.

i KNOW cover-ups happen all the time, especially in Malaysia. i KNOW that people have gotten away with things before. i KNOW. we ALL know.

but really, why can’t we be allowed a spark of hope that maybe things can change? why can’t we be optimistic? if we, as Malaysians, are so pessimistic and refuse to believe that maybe, just maybe, things can and have started to change, then truly, what hope does the country have? why do we proclaim that we want change if we aren’t even willing to believe in it?

call me whatever you like but i stubbornly believe that change will happen, that change is happening.

Read with a pinch of salt? Wasn’t there some blogger at some point who made a video and sent it in claiming that it was genuine? And that video was posted?

Well well, Malaysia 2day may have been hot on the loose, but after some thorough investigation of the site, it spread more blatant lies than truth. Even the non-political articles there were sensational news with no facts but delusions they believed in. Well, what can I say? People believe what they want to believe, and no doubt, that’s how we painted the opposition party the savior when they aren’t diff from the gov

  • 15. Myhorng  |  August 21st, 2009 at 11:58 am

    hope everything is true.

  • 16. Huai Bin  |  August 21st, 2009 at 2:27 pm

I just speed read through the comments on M2day instead of the scanned letter since I didn’t really have the time for it yesterday. I’m going to read it now – you’ve piqued my interest. :)

  • 17. Huai Bin  |  August 21st, 2009 at 2:31 pm

Ooh…scandalous, especially the khalwat bit. It takes ages for me to read though coz my BM is rusty. :S

  • 18. gnu  |  August 21st, 2009 at 4:11 pm

did you see the MAS report revealed on m2day? Tajuddin Ramli was found guilty but Abdullah Badawi stamped NFA (No Further Action) in the end. So, i don’t think this letter will have any impact, as usual.

  • 19. YouDontHaveToRebelEverythingToBeCool  |  August 21st, 2009 at 4:17 pm

I guess I agree with The passerby. People believe what they want to believe. Seriously, like before the proper investigation, people already accusing certain people whom they want to believe are guilty. sigh. what’ll be coming of malaysia. And only today u want to say u love malaysia, before u know the genuinity of this letter? I thought you are quite mature for your age, but i guess you are just like other 20 years old, like in bm they’ll say -darah muda, masih panas-

  • 20. pinkpau  |  August 21st, 2009 at 4:52 pm

i actually meant in my title that i love Malaysia Today, not that i love Malaysia today :)

  • 21. Patchi  |  August 21st, 2009 at 10:41 pm

hello lim su ann i love you today xD
    i love You Today

haihz…… what will happen to this country? Doesn’t matter whether that letter is real or falsified. What matters is where our darn country is heading. Singapore is leaps and bounds ahead of us even though we achieved independence first. We kicked em outta Malaysia. See where they are now. When it comes to resources we have the upper hand. More manpower, more natural resources. We even sell em water for gods sake! Yet they are ahead of us. WHY? To answer that, you have to go back to the reason why Singapore was kicked outta Malaysia by the Malaysian parliament by a vote of 126-0. God bless Malaysia. If it doesn’t bloody well change for the better, im packing by bags in a few years time and will come back only for family and food.
