How Long Ago This Was

September 26th, 2009

just found some pictures of myself that were taken during my first week of freshman year when i arrived here last year:

i feel so different.

the biggest lesson that i’ve learned thus far is that nothing in college is chill, no matter what anyone says. i was truly an idiot to believe otherwise.

Another So Nice Post! I ♥ your Columbia T-Shirt! :) Ya, Pinkpau, the lesson that you’ve learned is VERY TRUE! But I am curious what actually made you think so? :)

i agree too. but perhaps i’m just surrounded by people with different priorities… i wish they’d take college more seriously.

hahaha your columbia t-shirt reminds me of how i ogle my emerson ones… but didn’t buy :X though i’ve succumbed to the call of (a ridiculous amount of) sweats

when I saw that last picture all I thought was ’someone saw serena at grand central!’. :) I think it’s important to strike a balance between working hard and being chill. hope you have an awesome 2nd (sophomore?) year. :)

Yeah, everyone told me that uni was easy.

it is easy, if you do not care a single shit of what you’re doing.

not chill but extremely rewarding. chill but unrewarding. chill and rewarding. you can make it happen whichever way.

if you think nothing in college is chill, wait till you start working! :P

  • 15. Michelle  |  September 27th, 2009 at 10:49 pm

Eh no, original carbonara requires only eggs, pancetta, onions, some cheese ( Probably two sprinkles? It depends.. hehe ) and of course pasta.

I think you need about 4 eggs for 500g of DRIED penne (whatever pasta you like but penne looks nicer ).

No cream or milk needed. Cream and milk is optional.

i love your photos, they are so ‘lively’….i like the 2nd one best.

calculus was my least favorite subject too, hated it very very much. oh wait…i still hate it.

Ive only been to Columbia U once, having been in NYC for 5 years. I must say that its the best looking Uni in NYC compare to others & its hard to get it too. Lucky U!

Is that the station where they featured the show Gossip Girl?? Nice place :)

  • 19. pinkpau  |  September 28th, 2009 at 11:27 am

ee vonn : cos everytime someone tells me something relevant to college is chill, i find out way too late that it’s actually NOT chill, and i am the last person to know and recover from it :)

xiao : hv u started going to class in sweatpants? :P

tan yee hou : hehe the secret is ice cream

kimberlycun : haha omg i know! i have since been more integrated into american society. now i can speaking engleesh

    patricia : :D

caffy : nope that’s grand central station in downtown new york :)

leeern: good luck for upcoming tests! my calc midterm is in three days :(

daphne : haha yes that gossip girl episode captured grand central very nicely. and i am terrible at finding balance; am a creature of extremes :)

sha : haha really! doesnt time fly…

michelle : not true la :)

smartypants : i want the chill but super rewarding… but so hard to find that fine line

allen g : hehe i find that gets me going a lot more efficiently!

    carol : /WHACK

    ky : i dont wantttt :(

michelle : haha er yes i know how to make carbonara. i’m talking abt the amt of egg yolks required per serving and the cream if you like wetter pasta. i usually use a lot more parmesan than just two sprinkles tho

sheon : ME TOO. when we take over the world we shall abolish the need for calculus, ok? :P

ray7: aww :) i’m proud that you think so.

sue me : yes it is! it’s grand central station from episode 1 of season 1.
