hmmm…. Christina Olson (whom this painting was modeled after), wasn’t missing home. She had degenerative muscular disorder, some say polio, and was crawling to the barn.
PP…..you can see your goals but it seems far… dont fret, keep going. you will get there.
a step at a time, a day at a time.. soon you will be at your destination.
soon you will be at the footsteps and looking back, the key is learning and picking up what you learn about yourself and others along the journey that makes you a stronger person.
so look yourself in the mirror and tell yourself “today is going to be a great day”… there is no such thing as a mistake because we learn from our mistakes/missteps.
for me, i interpret the painting as she want to go home but home is no longer available for her. maybe she had been outcast by the home. thus she laying there looking hopelessly at the house with her body tilt toward the house as like she was trying to reach for the house but couldn’t reach.

well the good thing is your legs still work. the hard thing is learning how to walk with them. the harder thing is deciding to not just lie in the grass drawing pictures in the clouds.
oh yeah, make sure you’re going to the right house too…

Trying desperately to get back home. Her movements seem odd.

my expert analysis:
parched and dry land so a speech bubble should be added to the pic ” tolong!!..tolong!! air…..” hehe
24. smartypants | November 20th, 2009 at 5:46 pm
or my artistic interpretetion:
modern madame white snake opera……ever so gracefully slithering on a different setting!
LOL
