Disappointment Is

February 21st, 2010

i signed up for a creative writing class two weeks ago. it’s not for credit, and it’s just one of those things that students take for fun –

but i missed the first class because i was rushing a microeconomics problem set that was taking me longer than i’d expected to complete;

and then i missed the second class because i was tired out from classes and had to rest up for a longer day ahead,

and now the instructor has stopped emailing me class updates.

:(

    haha yeah that’s what happened to my Mandarin classes as well! In any case woman… it’s all about prioritizing. You’re obviously not disciplined enough, so buck it up dear!

    actually the bigger disappointment is that i picked everything else over writing. chris i guess you’re right that it’s about priorities

    You’ll do fine… Don’t stop now, attend the next class (helps if you know, or get to know, somebody else in the same class) and I guess, never ever take things for granted… To easy to do that especially with matters closest to heart.

    Why do I feel like this message is meant for me too? lol… *hugs*

    Yeah, like they said…it’s about priorities. Go to the next class and explain everything to the instructor…and do try to make your plans around this class instead!

    haiz….. well ppl tends to take it for granted when credit do not take into account. Since that thr is no credit, I think should you should enjoy your class rather than take it as a burden to score… Well, go and find some love and passion in your creative writing class……

    One of my favorite quotes of all time, and the one I adhere to the most is this: IF YOU WANT TO BE A GOOD WRITER, WRITE.

    IMHO, if you want to be better at writing, you don’t need classes. You just need to WRITE MORE. The more practice you get, the better you’ll get at it, and the more creative you’ll get with your words.

    :) manage your time more efficiently. i myself lacks discipline in this department also, but i’ve gotta start being efficient now for the managerial post thats juuust outside my reach.

    I had the same problem here in the US – joined a writing group, went for one meeting, never went again. Not relevant to my major, and I had so many other things coming up that I couldn’t go. But I’d advise you to go when you have the chance; you never know how it’s like until you try :)
